The Phantasialand in Brühl, Germany is one of Germany’s oldest amusement parks. It is known for its high attention to detail in its theming and introduces new attractions more often compared to other theme parks to compensate for its small area and regularly is voted one of the best parks in the world.

The Phantasialand is strucutred in different “worlds”, each with their own theme and style. While one area is inspired by vikings and the middle ages, another areas are centered around the African continet or a steampunk version of Berlin. The hotels in the park follow the themes of the areas they are set in.

This reportage for Stern tries to dive into the different worlds.
