PlantLife is an austrian company focussing on the sale of dried fruits and nuts. The core values of the company are a focus on sustanaible agriculture, organic farming and share trade. The share trade concept looks for a fair compansation of all the workers involved in the production of a good. This includes not only farmers but also their families, warehouse workers and the logistics. Excess profits are invested in educational and environmental projects in the local communities.
Most of the products sold by PlantLife are produced in Uzbekistan. For this assignment I accompanied the companies executives on a trip to the farms and the production sites in the central asian country.
